 The goal of the grant is to improve the quality of life within Woodbury and surrounding community areas.  2023 recipients were the Woodbury Cemetery Association, CT and Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition, two organizations that o promote our common interests in education, philanthropy, public health and welfare, moral values, civics, conservation and fine arts.  Grant recipients are non-partisan, non-sectarian, and non-profit.

The WJWC has a long-standing tradition of awarding scholarships to Nonnewaug High School seniors. The selection process recognizes students who demonstrate a strong balance of academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and a passion for community service.

The proceeds from our annual Bunny Breakfast were donated back to our volunteers from the Culinary Department and the Art Department at Nonnewaug High School to use for new supplies.
